I sucked up one of my neons once...

I agree with EMG. Just look in the bucket.

Look in the bucket, and I pour the bucket into the sink and watch carefully with a slow drain. Speaking of syphon stories... Yesterday my vacuum head malfunctioned so I took it off to do my newt tank with just the hose. One of my newts got stuck in the hose. Man, was I sweating it, but with a little ingenuity and patience, I finally blew her safely out. I'm NEVER going to do that again.
