I've recently received a couple of shipments of snails. One had the snails individually bagged with a little water. The other used longer bags, douple bagged, with three snails in each. Both were packed the same in a cardboard box with styrofoam sheeting. The second pkg was very warm (hot day outside).
Both were shipped usps priority and arrived in 2 days. I was waiting when they arrived and every snail is alive and well from both shipments.
Hope this helps!
They snails I have sent and received have always been in a bag with water and some sort of plant (java moss, Guppy grass). I've have never had a problem with live arrival doing it that way.
I received mine in a cardboard square priority mail box, with sheets of styrofoam inside. There was also a heat pack included (ordered in the winter). Each snail was in its own plastic bag with a bit of water. I received two shipments this way, and all arrived in perfect condition
Thanks everybody....I am just very afraid of sending my poor little guys and having them all DOA. I would feel very bad. Guess I need to get some styrofoam. Hmmmm....how big were your snails when you received them?
