I recieved my new fish tank today. It is a 90 gallon instead of an 80 gallon. It was my sister and she had saltwater fish in it. Then it was out in her shed. It is really dirty and there is salt water buildup or lime build up. What is the best way to clean it up? I don't want to use any harsh solvents. Can I just use hot water or with that not take all of the salt out?

First, wash it off really good the garden hose, then use a razor blade to remove all of the residual buildup. then repeat the process.
Venigar is good to assist in cleanup and that's the only thing you should need!
Just make sure you fill it up and check for leaks BEFORE you put alot of work into it.

Thanks. It is so heavy so we are going to wait until both of us are at home to take it outside and when it is a little warmer.
You can use bleach to disinfect it, which is always a good idea. Just make sure you rinse several times. Also use a good water conditioner in fairly large amounts in the final rinse solutions to get rid of any left over chlorine.
