I was wondering how a sponge filter works???I know it blows out air but how does the water get sucked up???Please help!!!

you pump air into it, and as the air rises it pulls water with it. The water is sucked through a sponge. Why would you want to make your own? They sell brand new for like $3.00
I dont know where you would be able to get the stuff.
Unless you have a source for a round sponge, I suggest you just buy a ready-made one.
