For my(or i should say maybe my) 10 gallon tank?

2 rams(not a breeding pair if possible)
4 leoaprd danios
3 cories(not sur which kind)

and I would like to have one other type of fish. I was thinking on dwarf gouramis but I wanted more opinions. Pleae reply if you have any info or if you have a 10 gallon please tell me what you have in it even if it aint one of the fish I named. Thanx and yall have a good day!
 
I know this is the cichlid site but since you asked, i have 4 zebra danios in a 10 gallon (with other assorted fish) and i don't think thats a good number for them. The largest of the 4 harasses the other 3 and is the only one that really gets to eat. I added 3 more and a more complicated pecking order was established and now they seem a lot happier. So i would suggest adding more than 4 as i'm assuming they are a schoaling fish.
 
sound good but add more zebra danios like swordfish said. I think 4-5 cherry barbs would look good in there. they only get like 1 inch long.
 
If you wanting to breed the rams I would let them have the tank to themselves. The fish you listed will most likely make a meal of your eggs and somebody - either the tank mates or the rams are going to be stressed. And a stressed Microgeophagus ramirezi is never a good thing. A breeding pair will make for a lively and interesting tank - no need for tankmates :).

I agree Anton. Danios will stress many calmer fish and rams are easily stressed. It will also be easier to keep water parameters excellent for the rams with less fish. You could try a trio of rams and hope you get 2 females and 1 male. It will increase your chances of getting a pair and if you end up with 2 males you can always trade him in.
 
Well i think my old tank is a 10gallon, may be a 8 hmmm....anyway i had some gourami's in there and algea eaters, though your setup seems ok but i personally wouldn't go danio's or any barb, barbs would nip at the rams fins and make them look ulgy, i'd get:

-2 rams
-2 gourami's
-2 cory's

I don't like crowded tanks, i do consider 4+ danio's + others to be a little much, i'd just give them much space to swim, i think they become alot happier and grow better and are generally healthier. But its up to you isn't now.........

Thanx alot for yalls replies. Anton, I really don't want to breed the rams. I mean If I get lucky and get a pair and they breed then I will work it out then but I really dont want a pair because al the sites I have looked at say that most rams are not to good of parents so the babies owuldnt do so good. But thanx anyway!
Mystroe(or Dwarf Gourami, yes I remeber you)you put to get 2 cories. I thought cories do better in larger groups too.
I got a thing int he mail the other day that has a certificate to the best fish place around hear and it says I can buy one freshwater fish and get one free of smae value or less and I am limited to 6 free fish so I could get 12. Is there any arrangement of 12 fish I could get. Like maybe this?

How about 2 rams maybe three if I could work it in
and 4 cories and 2 dwarf gouramis. I owuld really like to have another type of fish like a schooling fish. Please if you have suggestions please let me know?Thanx again for the replys!!!
 
I recommend 2 corries because they are bottom dwellers like the rams. You could put in 2 dwarf gouramis or you could put in a couple of rosy barbs 2 or 3, they aren't nippy like some of the other barbs.
