Hey Len
Hey there-
I got your email today. Sorry I didn't get back to you.. I actually picked up two more bunches of this plant as I like it as well... My existing plant in my tank seems much more yellower/green (healthier) than the two bunches I bought. Most likely the Co2 I run in my tank and the lfs does not.
I seem to battling the algae issue with some instruction from Tom Barr...
He told me for my 55 gallon and my water parameters to do this..
50%water change weekly ( I actuall just do 30-40%)
At water change at 1/2 tsp of K2SO4 and 1/2 tsp of KNO3
I then mixed up on my own doing pmdd by the kribs mixture and add around 6 to 10 drops per day of this.
I also add 6 to 8 ml. of flourish every other day.
So far I have not seen any real algae. I do have some minute fuzz here and there and some green spot but My Otto's take care of it pretty good.
I totally stopped gravel feeding as well. I still agree that the Jobes or Plantabbs release way to much into the water... At one point I had a PO4 reading of over 5. I almost fell over with a heart attack. And at that moment had brush and fuzz everywhere. I was almost positive it was from the PO4. Since I stopped vacuming the gravel and adding sticks to it the PO4 has been around .25-.50.... So I am happy with it. Eventually I will pick up some flourish tabs as they seem to be less dosage or strong as Jobes or Plantabbs... Thats for sure... Sometime Next month I will make a run to That Pet Place....

I love thier prices vs the lfs.. Almost half the price of LFS...
So Len thats what kinda helped me out with my tank. Tom Barrs advice and me not adding plant sticks and vacuming the gravel.. I also change out one of my bottles of DIY CO2 every week. To keep them pretty even flowed...
Hope this helps a bit pertaining to your email today? Acutally your question. But thanks for the reply on this topic.
Spankey
Heres a pick of some of my bacopa. Don't mind the wisteria around it. I have to trim it out soon.
