How long can I leave my Light on?

Hi,

I have a Nano tank which is 12gal. I'm new to reef, basically I'm a newbie! in Reef. So I was Wondering How long should I leave the light on? Do I haveto leave it on 27seven? right now I leave only 12 hours, :soda: is that too much?

12 hours is just fine. It is what I do on my nano-reef. I would recommend getting a timer so that the lights come on and go off the same time every day.
