Setting up of the new 20g long is under way, so as such I bought a new filter. It has been running on my established 10g for 2 days now. How long does it have to be run in order to get a good culture of the bacteria from the 10g?

I'll be planting probably tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on when my order arrives, and I'd like to have the filter up and running on the new tank by then. Is that not a possible reality?

how about taking the old filter off your tank and leaving the new one on. that way you have enough load for the coming fish . not sure if that works, but i did it, but I had another HOB on the tank so taking one off and adding the new one in its place was easy. it established my tank right away.

doing it this way will essentially cause you to have to cycle the old tank over again.

you'll want to run the new filter on the established tank for at LEAST a week, 2 weeks would be better, before it is sufficiently seeded for use on the new tank.

not if there is already an established HOB running. I just added a new one in place of 1 of them, the other is and has been established for 2 years.
