How long till Apistogramma mature?

I have a pair of apistogramma panduro and I was wondering how long it would take them to mature and get their blue/yellow color? my apistos have grown well but show no color.
 
My cacatuoides were breeding by 4 months, the females were ready when still quite small. They showed their yellow color before that. The male were able to breed before their fin extensions came in.
 
Here are some pictures of the pair. They are both 2 inches and I'm wondering if they even are panduro.. maybe nijsseni?

I'm not very good at apisto ID but the nijsseni female looks to have a much larger dark blotch, panduro's should have orange tail edge, nijsseni yellow.

What are you feeding? Thawed frozen bloodworms, mosquito larvae etc help mine get in the mood. At 2 inches they should be big enough I think. Are you absolutely possitive you have M + F? I had 2 aggies that the smaller male looked female to avoid getting beaten up by the larger male except once in a while his color would change.
 
I am feeding them flakes, frozen brine shrimp and frozen bloodworms. I am actually not sure the gender and the species differences. However, one of them has a faded black spot while the other one has more darker spot. another difference is that you can see from the pictures the top fin is blue and the others is yellow. So I doubt they are the same gender
 
I would cut out brine shrimp and add mosquito larvae instead and cultured Black Worm. As far as what Scientific Nomenclature, I would hold off for now as pics sometimes are not defintive/conclusive.
Although third pic reminded me of female, is there any size differences b/n two?
 
There is a slight size difference and the bigger one does bully the smaller one but not to an extreme extent

I went onto apistogramma.com and a member there told me that they were both male. I have no idea what to say about gender because they both look dull colored to me
