HOW MANY DANIOS SHOULD I ADD AT ONCE?

Hi i have a 20 gallon tank and i want 5-6 rose danios. I know adding a lot of fish at once can cause an ammonia spike. Will this spike occur even if the tank is cycled and if so how many danios should i add at one time and how long should i wait before i add the rest. I know danios are hardy fish but i have other fish in the tank and i do not want them to be affected.

They are hardy but they have their limits. In my 20 gallon (before I knew about cycling) I added 4 danio but I lost one. The LFS sells them in 4s though or I may of only added 2-3. Obviously you want at least 6 eventually since they're school fish though

Depend on how you cycled and the current bioload...but so long as you keep an eye on things I dont see an issue adding them all at once. The bacteria colony grows pretty quickly once established.
