How many gallons please

Since I have come to realize that my LFS is full of it I wanted to make sure my tank is 35 gallon
measurements are

21inches top to bottom
19.5 across the front
17.5 back to front

THanks what do you think should calculate for full 80% 100% it is full but with gravel you cannot figure I have about 3 inches of gravel all around

If I remember 7th grade, you should divide by 0.8.

Still says 35 gallon tank I am going to say 80% full because of gravel which means 25 gallons of water

That stated tank size is how much water the tank can hold without anything in it.

Correct but I have ick and have to dose by gallons of water..which is in my opinion now 25

If your treating ich with table salt don't even concern yourself for the lost volume from substrate and decor. Shoot for 2 teaspoons per gallon based on nominal tank size.
