how many guppies

I made a deal with my girlfriend to get some guppies so i can get rid of my leaffish (my salt tank is going to corals only). My question is how many guppies can i keep in one of those eclipse octagon tanks?

how many gallons? if you don't want them to breed, get a few males, but I think your cichlids would like the treat so keep M/F ratio 1/3, only if you want to breed them.

proably 5gallons. I'm either going with the eclipse hexagon tank or the minibow. which would be better?

I would say the one with the larger foot print, so the minibow.
