How many is to many

take it from a recent msitake maker who also tried to fit 8 fish in a 2 gallon, DONT DO IT!!!! espacially with the kind of filters those tanks have. my fish died in the first week, once 4 in less than 2 hours. take everyones advice get a 10 gallon. i got a whole ten gallon kit for almost what i paid for the 2 gallon. its worth every penny :thm:

I think it's a cory cat. I had him for about 3 monthes and he hasn't grown at all. He's about 1 1/2 inches.

3 months in your 1 gallon? Then you are lucky, or taking good care of what you have. But you REALLY need a bigger tank! Those small tanks are too hard to keep stable. The fish will be happier and healthier and easier to care for the bigger the tank.

EDIT: How often do you have to replace fish? In six months, you should not have to replace any fish if they were healthy to begin with--and your tank was the right size and properly cared for.
