ok, the aquarium club i belong to is having a contest to those who can house an angelfish. Well i have a few tanks that could. I put the little guy in with my female guppies and hoplos in a tall 40g. How many other angles should i put in there? I know that they prefer groups. I want him to be happy. He is slightly larger than a quarter (not including the fins). I got another one today slightly smaller, no aggression so far.

interesting....they want to see who keeps them alive? I would not put anyhting in there with them, they require IMO alot of maintinance
Yeah, what kind of contest? One of my lfs is having a contest for best looking marine tank, winner gets $50 in fish… too bad I only do freashwater.
yeah it is a good club. In fact, I dont know if anybody has heard of Charley Grimes, but he is someone who has in fact gone down to brazil and other countries to find more fish and research them. He brings many back. We have many people who are responsible for finding new species of fish. Plus, we have a breeder for many of the known fish. This means when a question arises, i typically have my answer. But i like it here to double check. I know they know what they are doing but i have to ask more than one at different sources. Plus, when asking most of these guys, once they start they dont stop, and by the end of it i am confused a little more. It is kind of funny. But it is great to be able to share this hobby with others who love it as well.
haha... I understand what you mean Icka. That is like my dad with computers. When you go to him for help you always get the answer, plus some! As long as you manage to sort it all out...
