thanks hannys.accd to this link i will need 20 pounds of fluorite for approx 2 inches of fluorite.does this sound correct?

Sounds about right.
A lot of people however suggest to use 3-4 inches for a planted tank.
I dont use that much but i am also a newb with plants. I just thought i mention it though because a lot of plant pros recommended to use that much.
