How much longer do you think my fishless cycle will take?

I took a test today, day 10, and I have 4ppm ammonia and 2ppm nitrites. The ammonia has been the same for the last few days. I added like a little more than a tablespoon on sunday(3 tablespoons is 1ppm for my tank) and haven't added any sinse. The last time before that was on Friday, when I added 3 tablespoons. My nitrites yesterday were about .50ppm. When do you think the cycle will be over?

My 20 gal high took an additional 10 days from this point to complete the cycle.
good luck
:)

I'm doing my fishless cycle right now and am in day 16. My ammonia comes down to 0 each da and i bring it banck up to 5ppm. It took 12 days for the ammonia to go to 0.

I started getting nitrites on day 8 and they are jsut coming down now(checked today and they are 0.5ppm. So hopefully mine will be done in teh next few days.

My first tank i fishless cycled took 12days. So it really depends on the tank. I added a bunch of filter sponges and gravel, have you added anything to seed it?

Decent rule of thumb:

Nitrite takes 1.5 - 2X as long to 0 out as the ammonia does.

So...if your ammonia drops to 0 in the next day or 2 you're looking at another 15-20 days.

If you can reseed your tank with some gravel or filter media from an established tank you can speed up that process a little.

I put a decoration from my other tank in the cycling tank. I also put gravel in the 4 media baskets that came with the filters. I hope that it's doesn't take much longer, but I know it probably will. :(
