I'm debating the purchase of one for my 75 gallon tank. From my research, I've read it will get to about 11 inches which will be way too big for the planted 75. However, I'll probably be moving into a single family home within the next year or two and will be getting a 240 at that time. Plenty of room in the 240 for that pleco.

The one for sale at the LFS is about 2". Just wondering if I have 2 year's time before I need to move it.

I would say yes you have time considering its of the same family and genus as a gold nugget pleco, in fact since its an Sp. its possibly that same fish with a diffrent color variation

You'll probably have 4-6 years before it's big enough to be a focal point in a 75-gal tank. They are one of the slowest growing plecs I've had and still one of my favorites.
