How to clean the tube on the HOB filter?

I use basically a bottle brush, but it has a brush on each end on a long (about 2 feet long) flexible spring-type metal wand that was made for cleaning filter tubes. It was probably a waste of money since I could make it for cheaper, but I'm lazy about doing DIY stuff.
 
A ramrod with a cotton bore swab works well, too.
 
Bottle or tube brushes work great. Just don't get too vigorous when approaching the 90* bends. I actually poked a hole through the top of my AC110 tube.
 
lol, im super cheap!!! i just use my old toothbrush after its soaked in a very gentle bleach solution for a few hours.
