How to combat hair algae?

I have Foxtail and duck-week which I thought would not let hair-algae to compete. What conditions let Hair-algae to compete?

Secondly what fish/snail/shrimps would eat hair algae?

PS: I have five tanks and this is the only one with Hair algae infestation.

Mollies, Flagfish and Rosy barbs seem to enjoy hair algae.

I just put 2 Flag Fish in my tank about a week and 1/2 ago had hair algae bad. It's all gone along with other algae that formed on my plants.

also remove what you can manually and lighten up on the iron dosing.

what i did...

I just reduced my lighting to 1wpg and did a blackout...some say this doesnt work...I also cut my furts down to once a week...its gone because I'm still doing 1wpg
