How to feed a lionfish?

was it eating frozen in the store? lions can be hard to get to eat frozen. i got mine to do it after 2-3 days. i jsut took a feeding stickand fed both krill and silversides. he would show interest, but not always chomp on it. sometimes if you wiggle it or skitter it slowly against a rock to make it look like it is live, it would be better. Or if right when he is looking at it, rub it against a rock so it comes off the stick and the current floats it away.

Spear some frozen food on a feeding stick and wiggle it to make it look alive.
That usually works. If not, soak it in garlic powder first.

well i tried feeding it squid, prawns, fish meat and blood worm but to no avail. It did not show any interest at all. All it does is just stick to the rock and ocassionally swim around to another rock and stick there...so fustrated

Yea i had problems with my fuzzy dwarf lionfish he wouldnt take any shrimp until i put 2 chopsticks together and stuck the food near him and wiggle it and then he took it right of the stick and never had any problems since....

I bought a fu manchu lionfish about a week ago and it posted up under my love rock motionless for about two days, I popped a dozen ghost shrimp in my 72 gal tank and all my fish went bezerk. Blue tang, yellow tang, longnose hawkfish, snowflake eel all treated themself to some ghost shrimp including the lion.

try baby live brine shrimp as well that might do the trick
