Hi,
I got my plant shipment from jetajockey (Peabody's Paradise- great seller and great plants!) for my 10 gallon tanks. Among my plants, I got 2 containers of Riccia.
It seemed simple, take out my driftwood. Tie Riccia in two places with cotton thread (I didn't have anything else, stole it from a dog toy...
). The riccia will evenutally grow and cover up thread. Voila! easy peasy lemony squeezy.
But then I put it in my tank.. It was fine, til I filled the tank back up. Riccia everywhere! Only two tiny clumps stayed in place. :/
I've read the hairnet method, but the piece of driftwood I want to "attach" it to has a hole (it's a 2" by 2" deep "plug" that a anubias was shoved in, I took it out and turned it on it's side so it made a little "fairy" house with a hole and then a moss roof) that I don't want to cover. So I am limited in terms of how to attach it.
I heard you could glue it into place. How would I do that? What glue would I use?
If you don't think it's possible, then what would be an easy to grow moss like plant (that doesn't need CO2, is good with 36 watts, that actually WILL grow roots and attach to driftwood, or at least doesn't seperate into a tiny million irritating pieces if tied down.
