how to insert pictures into post?

How do I insert a picture directly into a post instead of using the links to pictures?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I did search and couldn't find any info.

you need to upload your photos to a website such as photobucket or picturetrail and then open a thread here, the attach the photo like this for example:
sillyputtyspicexample.jpg


make sure the tags are there and that you use the address of the pic. You cannot attach pics from your PC.
 
open the pic up in photobucket, the right click on it. Come down to Properties, and hightlight the URL address that's in that pop-up. come back to the thread you are opening or replying to and type


that should work.
 
A piece of advice.

Try to resize the image if at all possible. Some pictures can be a little to big. Most image hosting sites have edit features that will asist you in resizing your picture. Make sure to preview before posting, that will help you size the picture properly.
