how to remove an 8 inch pleco

well,i clean out my 55 g over the weeken.the undergravel filter was clogged up and i was going to exchange the gravel.i had no trouble removing my cichlids until i got to the pleco.he was too big for even the biggest net and i had to catch him with a 1g jug just to move him.for the future,since i doubt that he will stop growing on me,was are any other ideas of moving a good size pleco.......

when he gets big enough u can prolly catch him with ur hands, thats what my buddy does, haha. umm... other than that.... a really big net.

They have barbels on the side of their body that they use to defend themselves. I wouldn't fish it out with your hands, i bet it'd be painful to get stuck by them.

We've had to move our two plecos at work because they we too large for their tank. We gave them something to hide in - in this case a fake cave thing - and once they were in that we just picked up the cave, stuck it in a bucket of aquarium water moved them that way.
