I was at the store the other day trying to find paleatus corys but all they had at the time was albino cories. Im not sure exactly what kind of albino but they were all very small probably young. each one was about 1/2 or so. they didnt seem to have too much movement, most were on the bottom just chilling. some were swimming tho maybe like 1/5 were swimming. How do you guys know what sorta shape these little guys are in before you buy them. :read:  THANKS GUYS!

I'm trying to remember all I heard in a presentation on cories a couple months ago. Two things I remember are their eyes should be sticking out (not sunken) and their tummies should be round. Now that's something you can only see really if they're moving about. You can check their barbels and fins if they're sitting still. Cories rest but if they were just sitting there unactive for a prolonged time, it doesn't seem good. Especially albinos, they swim around more than the others (in my experience).

Cories will sit perfectly still if they feel threatened. Mine are very active until I get right up near the tank, then they don't move at all untill they get used to me being right there.

As far as health goes, make sure they have their "whiskers", their tummies aren't sunk in (its a sign that they are malnurished) and that they keep all their fins extended when they are still or swimming slowly.
