hps lights as opposed to mh....

in case you dont know what hps is, it mean high pressure sodium... it is a hid like the metal halide, but it is an orange light insteat of blue... while blue light is better for vegataive growth, and orange light is better for flowering, do you think that a hps would be ok for a light to grow plants with??

i have heard of them exploding before, but it isnt an often occurance.... if i could buy a mh for a cheap price, i would.... but i dont know where to look... theres a website called insidesun.com, but i havent been there for a while....

well... i want someone to reccomend pretty much exactly what i need.. i have a 55g and i want to spend about 50-100$ but i dont think that will really happen.... oh yeha, i dont really know where to buy from either...

for PC or MH you are not going to be able to get what you need for under 100 unless yougo with a retrokit.
