I just started playing around with one of these in my tank. It's an aerator with built in light (blue in my one). I rather like the look in the evenings - sorta like a moon light - but find it a bit noisy.

It's currently on trial i.e. I havn't done a full install (burying the base unit and hiding cables). Anyone else tried one and was yours a bit loud ? I know you can adjust the venturi but you lose the bubbles then. Pergaps when I bury the base in the substrate as per instructions in quietens down ?

hmmmmmmmm...seems none of you crazy cats dig the disco lights...I can reliably report that it does in fact quiet down when buried in gravel, and that it looks cool...and that you can tell by the way that I use my walk I'm a woman's man no time to talk...also that whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother, you are, in fact, stayin' aliiiiiiiii-hiiiiiiiiiiii-eeeea-aaaaaaaa-hiiiiiiiiiive...:y220e::cool::dance::dance::dance::cool::y220e::cool:

after a two week plus trial I can now advise that these things are a pain...nice light/bubble effect, but very noisy and they clog.

this was the day the (disco) music died.
