I almost supported animal cruelty...yuck!

Neither guppies, endlers, or Bettas are hybrids. They are just selectively bred.

Endlers and guppies are naturally colorful, look up wild type guppies-though of course our fancy guppies are extremely selectively bred.

Most endlers are pretty much hybrids by now...I believe its pretty rare to get a "pure" endler strain. I may be wrong though...

Even if most endlers present in captivity are hybrids, Endlers as a species or a variation of a species are not.

Yes, Endler/guppy crossings are hybrids, but cory keeper didn't mention anything about them, lol. Also, it's not clear whether or not endlers are a distinct species, though the last time I was looking at that issue was a while ago. It could have changed by now.

hybrids and tattooed or dyed fish are two diffrent things
hybrid fish may not be natural but they suffered no pain from being created or do they experience anymore cruelty than any other standard fish
now dyed or tattooed fish are subjected to and extremely painful and unhealthy process
and i really don't see how tattooing or dying fish is not legally inhumane

By saying this, I assume you've never seen a parrot cichlid hybrid.
They have croaked twisted bodies, asymetrical eyes and often such severe deformity of the mouth it can never be closed.

I would agree 100% We will NEVER EVER buy a dyed or tattooed fish. the poor things...
