I am getting conflicting info i think!!!!!!!

I was inquiring in this forum about housing Bolivian Rams w/ a Severum. While some said it might be okay just keep and eye out others said it was not a good idea. I spoke with person at my LFS and he said should not do it, but then suggested i keep a Severum with Apistos! He said Severums are aggressive cichlids and could only be housed with Firemouths, Jewels, Green Terrors, JD's etc. I am thinking if it is a bad idea to house a Sev with Bolivians would it not the the same for a Apisto??
He also said Blue Acara were aggressive, but everything i have seen shows them as not so much.

ANy thoughts??

Severums are great fish....they are relatively peaceful yet they can still take care of themselves. However, I think that, just due to the size difference alone, thay would not make the best tankmates for rams or apistos. Actually, the the Blue Acara would be a better choice.

Sev/Acara are a great combo. I also would not recommend the Apistos.
