i bought two baby jack dempseys, the regular kind, not the blues, they are exactly the same size and age and looked the same when i bought them, now all of a sudden one is a lot darker then the other! could it be that one is a female and the other a male? or would it be a stress thing? or do they just change with age and i was wrong about being the same age?

The darker one is probably the dominant one.

It is not stress, Jack Dempseys turn pale in color when they are stressed. Its natural for regular Dempseys to turn dark in color. I have 2 baby Dempseys that do the same thing. It's natural for regular Dempseys to turn dark in color. Dark color probably does mean its the more dominant one of them.
