I GOT FRY!! galaxy rasboras/pearl danio's

Lol they are probably up to all kinds of mischief around here. Just watched some spawning vids on youtube. Those guys are frenetic swimmers! Do the females turn gold during spawning, or are they just much lighter than the males?

Where do you shop Sploke? House of fins? There's no chance I'd ever find these guys locally... Ya'll are real lucky to have such well stocked LFSs!
 
No I'm up toward Hartford area, there's a place called Puppy Center that had them, its the only place I've seen them locally. They were tiny, .5-.75" and skinny when I got them too. I walked by the tank a few times before I even noticed they were in there.
 
Nice. I bet they still charged you an arm and a leg for them though...
 
yeah they were about 8 bucks a pop.
 
Another member... Swany... has them also... she never got any fry until she took out her shrimp.

I have 2 males & 3 females but no action. I think my water is too soft but they're in with shrimp & other fish so I wouldn't know anyway.

What will you feed the fry?

i have found that they find their own food via mature tank with sponges on intakes plus have a ton of algea that they can pick no seeums out of
plus i put some hikari first bites in there also.. even for the parents as they have very tiny mouths
