I finally got the tank. Wohoo! :dance

I'm a little bummed that it's only a 125g, and not a 150g like he had said. Since I wasn't planning on getting a tank that day, I didn't have a tape measure on hand and its so hard to tell once you get up that big in size.

The dimensions are 72X18X22. Still pretty big I guess.

Notice the mess! I had to move half the dang room around! Four 10g tanks used to be where this tank is now, and we had to empty that bookshelf to move it. Oh la la. I haven't cleaned it or wiped it down or anything yet, and it was outside, so its pretty grody.

I thought that the filters the guy meant were going to be 2 Fluval 404's because he said he had "Fluval diatom canister filters that I use all the time." I assume he just doesn't know that there's a difference in what a diatom filter is. Turns out, it came with 2 Fluval 303's (not so good), 1 Magnum 350 (never used a magnum before), and some other magnum that doesnt have a name/model on it. I'm going to buy 2 Fluval 404's for it and do something with the other filters.

In addition, I now have powerheads and air pumps up the whazoo! This thing came with 2 Profile 9500 and 1 tetratec Deep water dw96-2 air pumps. Those things are gigantic!! I also got a bunch of junk along with it.

Soooo, as soon as I wash it out and get a longer hose, I'll be filling her up and testing out those seals very slowly:)

Looks like you got a deal there. What brand is it? Looks like an oceanic or all glass buy the thickness of the glass. Youwill like that tank, I have a 125g and you have a lot of fish options with that size.

I assume it is an Allglass because the guy bought it as a set and the inside of the canopy says All Glass Aquarium. It's 3/8" thickness.

Yah...I know what will go in it (small-med. community fish...large rainbows, etc)....but I really am bummed about it being 25g less than I thought. Sigh.

That whole thing, everything included, was 400$. Not too shabby.

The only difference is the 150 is 24" instead of 18" depth. I like the 18" depth because the fish seem to be more up front than in the back. You'll like it once you get it up and running. Before I ordered my Tenecor, I took measurements of both and layed it out in my room and decided to go 125g. I have no regrets in my decision. By the way my 90g is All Glass and the quaility seems to be just as good as the Oceanics I had in the past. Like to see some pictures after its up and running.

WOW!!! You're going to have some fun with that one! I wish I had room for something that big... and the floor to support it! I live in a trailer home right now, and i think I'm pusshing it with the 45gal. Lets see some pictures when you get up and running!

Captain....10-14 large rainbows. Half boesmani, Half Goyder river. There may be some celebes/threadfins in there too at some point (or gertrudae if I can get 'em :D). Gonna have about 8 congo tetras, 12 -15 scissortail rasboras, 15+ cardinals, several cories (panda or emerald, haven't decided yet)...and some other fish that I haven't decided upon yet...But I know I have to have the large rainbows, congos and scissortails!:)

Xy- Yah it should be really fun! Dont' worry, there'll be pics!

I'm excited to get it up and running though, because I've been letting the java fern in the 55g take over in anticipation of having this tank - and I need to get it out of there!

It's funny though. I remember, way back when, when we brought the 55g home on a spur of the moment purchase and set it up...I remember thinking "Oh my god. This is way too big. Who would want this in their house?! Should we take it back?" Funny how things change, eh?
