I do agree that yes sometimes they can overpopulate but it is usually self limiting. Less food + less cover = less fry survival

If it is truly still an issue add a larger fish to your tank and voila - no more problem! You will still have some few fry survive but not enough to over populate the tank. A beta or an angel fish would do the trick at least that has been my experience.

I know this. But if you don't let males and females mix there will be no new sperm, and they will run out eventually. You just have to wether the storm, so to speak. I recomend putting more fish in the tank, non-livebearers. That will cut down the number of surviving fry to a somewhat managable level.

personally I think an angel fish would do the trick, maybe 2
a few would survive but I guess after that even after giving birth the babies would be eaten by the angel fish


also, I would happily have an infestation I have no luck with guppies lol

I would gladly pay for shipping for any and all mollies you want to send me. And I would NOT use them for feeders. I have a 150 gallon community tank that I would love to add them to. (all small fish).
