i had a molly give birth, and dont know what to do with the fry, i put them in a breeder tank, and i have been feeding them frozen shrimp brine. is this good? should i adjust the water temp or anything in the tank? and how long does it take for them to be able to go in with other fish?

Congrats. Frozen brine shrimp is fine if they are big enough to eat it. If not live baby brine shrimp would be best. You can put them back in the main tank when they get about 1/2 size of the other mollies. This will be a temporary solution. You soon will have way too many mollies for your tank if you decide to keep everyone. You could eventually just let the tank inhabatants eat the fry of feed them to other fish that you may have.

godo for you caz, it's pretty cool having fish that are happy enough to spawn.

Talk to your LFS and see if they might trade you some babies for some fish food, or store credits. I have had broods of ANgels, Gouramis, Bettas, and all sorts of livebearers and trade them to my LFS (more than one) for frozen foods, brine shrimp eggs, and other general stuff.

Best of luck to you, I was able to release mine into general population as soon as 1 month with no trouble (about 1/4 the size of the parents), but the larger they are, the better they will do in the "real world"

thanx guys, i will see what my fish store will do for me. i will definately not keep them all, i will either let the other fish in my main 55 gal tan have them and take natures course, but i want to raise a few, and this is the first time i have had a fish give birth. thanx alot guys :)

I once had a guppy tank - 20 imp gallons - and I just left the fry in with the parents/ adult fish and the fact there were numerous adults seemed to keep the baby pop down.

This way the most rigerous, strongest, and probably best looking fry should survive.

Also, the tank was heavily planted to give the fry a good chance of survival.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there commercially available fry foods for livebearers? I'd go with those...but that's just my .02 (and could be an expensive .02 for you...)

frozen baby shrimp brine isnt made for small fish like fry? its very very tiny, and the fry seem to like it.
