Hi,

I have a 10 gallon, moderately planted tank with 4 cardinal tetras. The last round of plants I added came with a snail in it. I have a Java Fern, some Ambulia, couple Swords, and some Anacharis floating at the top. It doesn't look as if the snail is causing any problems. Do I have to worry about this lone snail? Should I take it out to be safe, or can I just leave it?

I think you'll be fine. It'll help take care of the algae! Plus I don't think the cardinals will bother it.

I had the same thing happen - I've got a couple ramshorns and a pond snail in my tanks, they were hitchikers on the plants ;)
If you dislike snails, remove it - it will probably lay eggs eventually, and you'll have more than one. If you don't mind it, leave it - as hcgirl80 said, it will take care of algae (not much though if it's teeny). It will also clean up any bits of leftover fish food.
