Since you're from BC, you should take him to Saltspring Island, or the West coast of Vancouver Island (Tofinos really nice).
He sounds like an outdoorsy kind of guy, so maybe a hardcore expidition would be good.
Is Blacktusk too easy? I guess the Chief would be too easy as well.
What about the Harrison hike? It takes 7 days, one way. Or theres a ton of week long hikes through the mud on the island.

Erm, for me BC means Fort St. John, wayyyy up past Prince Rupert its a 14 hour drive to get to Vancouver
