well i've never shipped anything before and i've never been paid using paypal. so i sold my psp and now i have to ship it to Nigeria (yeah ik random. lol.). so the guy has already paid me in my paypal account and i need to ship this thing asap!! i just don't know where to start. any help would be very much appreciated.

Pad it well & box it up in something sturdy but as small as you can safely get away with. Weigh it (accurately) & you may also need measurements.

Check w/ USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. etc. until you find a rate you like.

Use the address provided in the paypal notice unless otherwise directed (and you don;t feel that there's anything dodgy going on.

99% of the time if you are shipping something to Nigeria its a scam. I would avoid this if I were you.

Did he somehow "overpay you" and you gave him back the difference?

yes my psp is going to nigeria. haha. it seems pretty legit and the guy paid in advance, but he paid before i had any idea how i was going to ship it

it was over paid i guess, the psp is modded and i sold it for 250, he gave me the 250 and an extra 150 for shipping

it was not thru ebay, it was thru craigslist, i agreed to ship it, but i din't finalize my offer. i came back 20mins later w/ an email saying he sent money to my account

Look im going to blunt with this. DO NOT SHIP THIS TO NIGERIA. Mark my words you will lose your money.

I deal with ebay a lot and it's generally known that anything to do with Nigeria is usually considered a scam.

here's some examples:

I know you said they paid you already, but I would be very cautious about this transaction. If you do decide to go through with it, make sure you withdraw all the money from your paypal account first before shipping.

Edit: I guess I should explain why you should withdraw your money first... Unless you have delivery confirmation of some sort to a certified paypal address, the buyer can say the item was never recieved and ask for a refund (you lose the money AND psp). Or buyer could easily file a SNAD (Significantly Not As Described) claim with paypal - in which case, if the buyer wins the claim paypal will require him to return the item before a refund can be given. In this case, as long as he has some sort of delivery confirmation, he can say the item was returned (he can send you a box with a rock in it for all he cares) - again, you lose the money and psp. Or he can he do a chargeback with a creditcard if that's how he paid... in this case, paypal WILL get its money and hold you responsible (they'll find a way, trust me) and hold your funds.

Now, if you really did receive the money in your paypal account and withdraw the money into your bank account - paypal CAN'T do anything. They can hold your account on hold but paypal CANNOT go into your bank account and take out money without your authority. hth
