I have tried to go with live plants before. I first got hook on
my 55gal fresh water aquarium 5yr ago and had live plants for
about a two weeks of that time. They died and were messy.
QUESTIONS:
Is it good to leave lights on 24/7?
What type/spectrum light do recomand?
Do i leave the led to stop from floating or push into gravil?
Shuld i use the plant foods? What kind?

I now have a 100gal and have 4 16"floral lights.
I Know much more about fish some eat plants
and rearange the tank.I traded meny fish and learnd
much abut specis to get ware i am with myself today.
IM READY TO CONCER THE LIVE PLANTS!!!

No, never leave lights on 24/7, plants need there "sleep" time as well. Plus if you have fish, it will stress them out too much.

Anything under 10,000 Kelvin is suitable. From there it is personal preference. I like ~6500K.

Depends on the plant and if it is stays on its own. I do not like to leave them in there myself, but have done so if it keeps getting uprooted. However, it should not harm to use them.

For ferterlizers, see the sticky here. For specific questions, there are other posts. If you can not find your answer, we are always willing to help.

Notes
1. If you have high light (more than 2.5Watts per gallon), heavily consider CO2 injection. Otherwise, algae will take over
2. In order to have a successful tank, all the nutrients must be balanced (see the fert sticky here).
3. The more the plants, the more they will use the ferts and thus more replenishing them.
4. Build the tank hardware around the plants you want (ie some plants dont care about what gravel you use, others depend on it).
5. Dont be afraid to experiment (although this can cost lots of $$$).
6. Dont be afraid to ask questions if you can not find the answer already posted.

Good Luck

Some of those plant weights contain lead and are poisonous. IMHO you do so at your own risk.
Did not know that - I am glad I never really used them in the first place!!!

No, most people recommend 10-12hrs of light per day, plants need to rest too!

For plants, its actually the amount of light that is more important, i.e. the watts per gallon that you have...read this for a good explanation:http://www.rexgrigg.com/./light.htm

for most plants it is better to remove this, separate out individual plant stems, and plant them individually (not as a bunch)

Well, there's a lot to discuss here, read the info in that link I gave you, it says a lot about the proper substrate, lighting, CO2 injection, fertilizers etc...but yes, you'll need to add some nutrients like Flourish.

Good luck with everything, by the way, I suggest you use a spell checker whenever you post, I use one call IESpell and it works great, its available here:
