My wal-mart tanks usually look pretty good...the workers really do not know what they are talking about but the tanks look good. There is one girl (manager) that know's somewhat what she is talking about I did hear her one time giving advice on not mixing a fish the person wanted with the fish she already had (suprised me) but at the same time she was saying the bala would only grow to its surroundings, and on the tanks with brackish fish in it, they say to just add 1TBS of AQUARIUM salt/10g or something like that so they are not good by all means but the tanks look nice.
