please help with ICH question

I just finished adding the salt at a rate of 2 tsp per gallon and raised temp to 84.5 degress. All looks well but my parrot has become aggressive. He is also swimming funny, goes to his side and starts to shimmer very fast then swims away normal. What should I do? PS, I did this over about 12 hours

Not syure why the fish are doing that, but as far as i know you did exactly the right thing to treat ich. Im guessing the raised temp is causing the agression. Id assume he will mellow out a bit after a while.

The aggression really does not seem to be that big of a problem. The swimming change is what scares me I do not want to loose my fish.

could this be a sign of low O2 levels? The fish being effected is the largest fish in the tank. I have a second small air pump should I put that in the tank? Will it help?

day two of Ich treatment, raised heat up to 86 degress, Is it normal for more spots to show up on other fish or did I do something wrong. any Input is very welcome.

It's not uncommon to see more spots actually. Ich multiplies. If you catch it early, then start treatment with heat salt, you speed up the lifecycle, so seeing more spots before you start to see less is nothing too remarkable. Good luck with it and let us know how it goes. Daveedka loves this stuff.

I noticed it, then watch it for a day and did research on it, then treared it on the second day when i figured out what it was.

OOOOOH !!!!!!!!!!!!   Quite the contrary Harlock, I hate the stuff, but especially hate the myths that killed off so many beloved catfish over the years. :D

Ich is microscopic when it attaches to your fish. it then grows 50+ times while it feeds. so it will show up sometimes for 2-3 days as the treatment progresses. It was actually already there, and now it's big enough to see is all. Just keep at what you are doing, and wait the bugger out.

thank you for all your input. I will keep this up for 2 weeks just to be sure they are all gone.
