I added the salt--two batches of 6 tablespoons for each 20 gallon tank as I have a lot of rocks and gravel I thought that would be the right amount for 2 teaspoons per gallon for the probable 18 or so gallons of water in each.
If it is the other problem, the website I read indicated it would probably go away by itself and was usually not fatal. But I think it is ich, and will make sure to add the salt again when I change the water before I leave on my trip.
I do have one quick question, my second tank has a school of corys in it (five bronze corys) and they are acting like crazy fish. They all hid in the rocks and driftwood at first, but now they are zipping up and down and all around. The two I had before never did that--is this a result of the salt treatment bothering them or is this typical of schooling corys?
