I am a newbie when it comes to aquariums, I noticed that my fish had white spots, ick. After buying Coppersafe and adding it to my tank about a week later I lost all of my fish. Now where do I go from here, I put more coppersafe in the tank and plan to follow it's directions, but how do I know if I am rid of ick. I have a Bio-Wheel filter will ick continue to be present in the wheel? A co-worker suggested I take everything out of the tank; bleach and clean it then soak everything in Start Right and pitch the bio wheel and get a new one. I really don't have any idea where to start. Please help me?

Read this article for details.

I personally would suggest you get the copper out as quickly as possible. It may already be too late, but the sooner you remove it the better. If there are no fish in the tank, ich cannot survive so there is no reason to tear anything down, bleach anything or go to a lot of trouble. Feed some fish food or clear ammonia to keep your bio-filter from dieing and give it a week to make sure ich is dead. that's all you really need to do.
