I have a problem with one of my tanks I have a feather fin sydodontis catfish who is not acting like his usual self he is very lethargic and is hiding alot I looked at him up close and noticed that he is coverd with small white spots I think this is ich but i am not shure also i have two pictus catfish in their with him and they appear to have it also but it is not affecting the way they act i also have a severum cichlid in their and he appears to be unaffected should i move the three catfish to their own tank and treat them for ich or leave them all together and treat them all and how high should i jack the temp up and for how long and how much salt per gallon should i add i read some post on hear abought treatment but none of them seem to address all these issues your help is greatly appreciated

You'll want to act pretty quickly once you have read the article. Most of what I know about ICH was learned via pictus catfish. They are highly succeptable to ich and quick to succumb to it if not treated. Don't let me scare you, hours won't make much difference, Days will however. Start treating as soon as you have a game plan estabilished. Don't hesitate, and don't short the treatment period with these guys. I love my pictus, but ich is close to automatic Whenever you bring them home.
