there is no proof that garlic prevents ich. it is more of a "he said-she said" type of thing. worth a shot though, and does provide vitamins.

it doesnt as i stated in my extremely long paragraph that no one probably read....it only boosts immune systems of the fish like garlic does in humans.
the commercial UV are no good thats true but there are other ones like the one i use that offer triple exposure to uv radiation and effectively kill the protozoans and other parasites.
but a natural method is always a good choice. u can always try one if the other fails.

Any back pressure problems? What would you think about one installed on a sump return line?

no problems just reduced my flow by half because of the 2 90 degree angels. i dont usually do sumps with uvs i put the separate with their own pump but it isnt as effective as inline the main so im not to sure.
