ID please?

Sorry to hear your angel is not doing well...regarding the 18g, even without the plec and the lepo, it looks like you are still pretty overloaded....the severum is going to be too big for that tank and the convict could be a wild card in terms of behavior...you might need to be more creative in how you move your fish around in your other tanks, or perhaps set up another tank soon.

Yeah, are you planning on moving those other fish? The severum, convict, and pleco(s) definately will need a larger tank. Even the pulchers should have a bigger tank. Also, they are not community fish... they are cichlids from Lake Tangynika, and love sand substrate, rocks, and high pH (over 8.0), with moderate hardness.

I dont think they will work well with any of the inhabitants of that tank other than the pleco which is going to be moved anyways... The danio is probebly the only think that will be able to escape them.

As a general rule i tend to say that no cichlid should be kept in anything under a 30 gallon unless its a dwarf cichlid.

right. i am getting a 40g soon, and moving all of the 18s inhabitants to the 40. again, the plec is going into the pond, and the clown wont get much bigger than she's at right now. i guess ill leave her in the 18.

but, would 2 same sex of those pulchers be ok in an 18 (i think i picked up a male and female... bleh, ill see if i can switch one out)?
that being said. back to the last question, should i keep it species only, then? im really interested in threadfin rainbows.. i might put some into the 10 when i move the convicts.

Pulchers in the 18, it could work but it depends. I don't think it could work with the other inhabitants, at all. If they are both male, it probably wouldn't work with both of them in there, but you could give it a try and if there wasn't too much bickering, it could work. If they were a pair, you could make it into a nice breeding tank.

Thanx?

I looked that the 2 i have, and one seemed to have the more rounded fin, and the other seems to have the longer fillaments.

From what i heard, this is indicitive of a male and a female. rats. Though, could they still be too young to tell? *crosses her fingers*
