hey guys i have a 110 gallon tank that needs using and i was thinking maybe saltwater. I really like lionfish, is this tank large enough for a Volitan Lionfish? If so what other occupants could i keep in there with it? Maybe some swarf angels or even bigger angels? Just looking for some ideas. 8) Let me know

I believe that sized tank would be suitable for a Volitan Lionfish. As for tankmates, keep in mind if a Volitan can fit it in its mouth, it will eat it. Period.

And keep in mind their mouth is much larger than it appears.

:iagree:

Check the feeding requirements of larger angels and stay away from dwarf angels unless you plan on moving them to another tank once the lion outgrows them.

Larger tangs, maybe a picasso trigger, smaller groupers (not many stay small), larger wrasses.

You'd probably do best with 3-5 fish that can grow up together and will end up close to the same size.

Antennata lions only get to be around 8" as opposed to volitans that can get double that.

Volitans are the largest of the lions so maybe try something smaller.i've seen a couple of tanks with lions, eels, a puffer and a french angel ,stunning.
