I used "pond and watergarden" magazine to get lots of ideas as well as instructions on basic and advanced construction. I recomend picking up a couple issues from your LFS or chain store. they even have a step by step guide to building a pond every issue.

After the rain last week it's starting to warm up again. hard for me to say cuz I sleep all day

Friends grandparents, it pretty cold that weekend. Those pics didn't work it said"Problem accessing account try back in 10 minutes" oh well. Thanks specially for the feed back.
Can you believe he thinks Hemet is a bad neighborhood! I have folks who live out in East La area(Bell, Maywood, South Gate H.P.) He would freak and what makes matters worse where from the former south side of Chicago! Pretty Ridicolous.
We also went fishin on Warren the lake by the trailers and RV's! I forgot the name of it. Caught an 8" channel.

If I had one tip that I'd give, it would be to forego the pre fab ponds and dig your own and use the pond liners. I had one for a couple years before I had to remodel, and I'm going to plan, construct, and build a brand new pond oasis this spring...and I will ONLY use the workable pond liners...

I couldn't imagine thinking of hemet as a bad area. seems to me it's a great retirement community tucked away in the valley. and it's very inexpensive to live compared to other places in the area (like temecula).
are you talking about Skinner? I haven't been there in ages, but theres always some good fishing there I've heard (I haven't fished in years) but next time your out you should check Vail lake, it's off of 79 south and it's been closed to the general public for 30 some years, they just started selling passes recently.

...if you want a water garden with NO fish then yes aquascapes is a good system, but please oh please don't put rocks in the bottom of your pond if you are going to Keep Koi!!!!!! Pretty Please!
