I'm almost 100% positive thats what he is. In a week or so he'll have his own 100 gal tank

careful here. don't just get a 'mate' and think they'll fall in love. if you're serious about trying to breed this species, get 6-7 more juveniles of the same size and let a pair form naturally. you cannot force a 'pair' by simply adding a fish of the opposite sex. the male will almost surely kill the female.

for the most part they are peaceful but can be more agressive twards their own species go with live2padle's advise and get more than one or two just make sure the pet store will take them back as they are pretty expensive like I think 20-30 dollars easc but I could be wrong.

Yes as are most large cichlids. peaceful when not spawning given space is large enough.
