Hopefully. I have to draw up some designs for the shop I want to apprentice at, I'm going to bring them in some time next week.
Here are some of the designs I've done...

Think they're good enough?

Yep...much of the shading comes into play at needle time...

They look great Liz!!

I'd work a bit more on the carp's face and make it just a tad more plump. Id also twist the 'mohawk' on the dragon right after that curl a bit. Might make it a bit more 3d. Then again, I'm not sure how the tail 'flame'? is worked out. Seems a bit like a border, have you tried making it come from the center of the tail tip? Other than that, great work.
ps, I can be a bit ocd about art, lol. Only reason I don't have a tattoo yet is because I keep changing and making things more fine and even. Also can't find an artist that can keep with what I want and not make it asymmetrical. v.v

Sorry if my critique is not to your liking, I personally can't stand any criticism, even positive, lol.

Either way, I think they will make you an apprentice! Good luck!!

Oh, I'm the same way. A painting/drawing/whatever to me is never finished. I can keep perfecting and perfecting ad infinitum. But at some point I have to settle. Also, some of the things you suggest would be difficult to do because tattoos can't have too much detail (like curling the "mohawk" on the spiral of the dragon's tail- with the curl overlapping it it might be too complicated and not age well. I've had to really simplify my art to make these designs).
