Here I have a few links to some suggestions on a phosphate reactor and I now know that I will be able to place most of these either in a sump or HOB of the sump, not HOB of the tank itself. I like to see if any here can add to the type of selection I now have and I will need a phosphate reactor for three tanks, a 150 plus a 65 gal sump and a 180 plus a 50 gal tank and a 240 with plus a 100-125 gal sump. Also if anybody here know of where i can buy both phosphate and calcium media in as large a bucket I can get. I know this isn't cheap buy by buying it so large I not would need to buy them so often.

Pretty much all phosphate reactors are the same. Some just hold more media and some are much more expensive. But the design of all the ones i've seen are pretty much the same thing. You jsut have to think about how much you want to dish out. Of course, even all of the smaller reactors will be able to hold enough media for all those tank sizes. You'd just have to replace it more.

fishieness, I rather go larger and more money so it hold so much more media other then to be replacing desolved media ever so often. Do you know anything about the Deltec models? And I need a change over from litres to us gals and cost should be less in dollars for most change over currencies, the US dollar gives those countries more value to the dollar, or is it the other way around?

Why do you have a phospate problem is it your water ? A large fish etc.? You may not need it to begin with if you give us a bit more info.
cheers

Max, no problem and the tanks arent started as yet and the reason to have it is too ensure there be no phosphates problems and yes, nothing is garentee depending on my maintenance of these tanks and feeding. Excuse me of any mispelling>

Im looking for this now being that its something new for me to use>

phosphate media doesnt dissolve, it jsut gets used up. Also, make sure you are using some ferric oxide based media (and a goo one like phosban or rowaphos) instead of an alluminum based one (which are white) because the Al leaches it back out every few days.
as far as the deltec ones, anything made by deltec is goign to be an awesome prouct, however, i dont think i would personaly pay that much for a phosphate reactor.
And yeah, deltec is made in Germany, so the euro exchange rate definatly doesnt help you that. haha. our dollar cost less than the canadian dollar now.... :( the only really place that sells any deltec stuff in the the US is www.deltecusa.com and it's a great place. doug has awesome service. I bought mine used (aka, not from him) and he still helped me a lot through pms and emails an such to get my skimmer cranking.

Of course, it only gets used up and to the other main thing in which you pointed out on using as well ferric oxide based media and i tried a search and came up with this:

But also, how much for is it 50/50 or less or more then the phosphate media?
This in what im doing here in asking around has awaking me to some minor detail in which many not would think about in which has giving me a better hand on things in what I am looking to do here. Thanks

And as soon as I know of what your personal opinion is on this, i will tell others in what you strongly suggested here in what I will be doing. I mean to only those who had giving me their thoughts to this issue.

Well, on the US dollar, I knew its less in some countries and yet, I like the reactor to be of a larger equipment so that it also give me elbow room to how soon I must refill them for yes, a smaller reactor I must refill often.
I know that is a world of differences in price when you can get one for less the $50 and im shooting for $200+

There was something while dealing with this Jeff at fish world that I always told him that if I can get something better and its an extra $100 or so, im not saving anything in the long run by buying the cheaper product for yes, it too works well, but I am over here with those little darlings who I daily help with and days their home like last week I had the 5 year olds twins all day Thursday and Friday And I spend most of the weekend with the kids as well giving them their baths everyday for their daddy works at the district attorney office and I am the only help he or my daughter have to assist with the kids.

I said that because i need the equipment I get for these tanks to be top of the line and yes, I am seeing as well that I might even switch over to the deltec skimmer later on.
