After months and months of things going wrong with my tank and not cycling its finally showing signs.

For months my parameters showed 0 nitrates, 0 nitrites and VERY HIGH amonia (although i belive it was a false reading). After months of those readings i was just like "screw it, ill say its cycled"

after a month of doing nothing to my tank (water changes and such) its finally starting to show its signs of a cycle happing.

Some of you may not know how much trouble has gone into this tank but i do...ive been throu so many problems. Im so happy.

I have lost some fish thou. Down to...

1x neon
4x dwarf platties
1x otto

SO tell me what you guys think. Is this heading in the right direction?

Looks like you're cycled...You should notice that most if not all of the Nitrites are gone in the next little while...What is your Ammonia level now? Should be zero...hopefully

Amonia level...0...thats a big negative buddy. lol

Its about 4.0.... :(

ouch....Water change time...I'd do about 20-25% every couple to few days to loose some of the ammonia and nitrite...The fact is that once you show nitrite in the cycle, the ammonia levels should drop off and be @ zero especially by the time you see a nitrate reading...Do your fish look like they are gasping for air or breathing rapidly? Are their gills red? These things whould be a sign of ammonia and/or nitrite poisoning

yes :( one of them are acting that way. In all due respect, she can be replaced. Ill have to wait till 2morow for the water change. Rents are slepping.
